How to Formulate Disinfectant

  • Make a brine solution in a System by mixing eatable kitchen Salt.
  • Connect electrical power to the Chloro-Sanitizer, where it is converted into concentrated Mixed Oxidant Sanitizing solution.
  • Collect the MOS in another closed container.
  • Add water to get 02~5000 ppm disinfectant as tabulated above.
  • Spray or clean the surface with the sanitizing solution.
  • It kills viruses, bacteria, and most protozoa.
  • Avoid open flames, sparks, smoking and other ignition sources in the vicinity of on-site generation system and associated equipment.
  • Do not drink | Do not wash mouth by the sanitizing solution or MOS.

Fill the water in the tank up to the mark, through filter. Add required table salt as per the manual. Switch on power. Press ‘Start’ button. Wait till ‘On’ lamp goes off (after 15 minutes). Now disinfected water is ready for usage. Open the tap to take out the water for drinking.

OFFSHORE CHLORINATION

Tiaano® 0.2 Pt, an advanced offshore electrochlorination system, producing sodium hypochlorite by using sea water to prevent biological fouling in off shore applications. Tiaano® 0.2pt designed based on sodium hypochlorite requirements in kg per hour and the physical plant layout.

  • Micro-fouling refers to a layer of slime over surface. On heat exchanger plates and tubes, micro-fouling can reduce heat transfer efficiency by as much as 25% and also accelerate corrosion. Periodic maintenance to clean the surfaces is required, creating downtime and increasing running costs.
    Macro-fouling refers to barnacle and mussel growth. Inside the seawater pipes and cooling systems, macro-fouling can gradually restrict seawater flow and consequently reduce flow and heat transfer efficiencies. In extreme cases, pipes and valves can become completely blocked, resulting in equipment damage and major system shutdowns.
  • Hypochlorite continuous and shock dosing are used to effectively control micro and macro-fouling in seawater applications. In continuous dosing, a low level of chlorine is continually supplied. This protects against the majority of bio-fouling, but unfortunately certain macro-organisms can become resistant to low level dosing. These macro-organisms can be eliminated by shock dosing, where much higher levels of chlorine are applied for a short time at regular intervals.

How the system works

Tiaano™ is a miniaturized system for producing chlorine which is installed alongside your pool filtration unit. It consists of a compact control panel and an electrolytic chlorinator cell based on the latest technology.

To achieve the reaction, the pool water is mildly salted (0.4%) which is 90% less salty than normal seawater. As the water passes through the Electrolyser, the salt is converted into chlorine which disinfects it and kills any algae and bacteria. The water in the swimming pool becomes:-

Electro Oxidation Unit for Textile and Tannery Waste Water

Tiaano™ EOU is the process of destabilizing suspended, emulsified or dissolved contaminants in an aqueous medium by introducing an electrical current into the medium. When reactions are driven or forced, the elements or compounds will approach their most stable state. Generally, this state of stability produces a solid that is either less colloidal and less emulsified (or soluble) than the compound at equilibrium values. As this occurs, the contaminants form hydrophobic entities that precipitate out and can easily be removed by a number of secondary separation techniques.

Electrocoagulation can often neutralize ion and particle charges, thereby allowing contaminants to precipitate, reducing the concentration below that possible with chemical precipitation, and can replace and / or reduce the use of expensive chemical agents (metal salts, polymer). These observed reactions may be explained as…

  • Seeding resulting from the anode reduction of metal ions that become new centers for larger, stable, insoluble complexes, that precipitate as complex metal oxides;
  • Emulsion breaking resulting from the oxygen and hydrogen ions that bond into the water receptor sites of oil molecules creating a water insoluble complex separating water from oil, driller’s mud, dyes, inks, etc.;
  • Halogen complexion as the metal ions bind themselves to chlorides in a chlorinated hydrocarbon molecule resulting in a large insoluble complex separating water from pesticides, herbicides, chlorinated PCB’s, etc.;
  • Bleaching by the oxygen ions produced in the reaction chamber oxidizes dyes, cyanides, bacteria, viruses, biohazards, etc.;
  • Electron flooding of the water eliminates the polar effect of the water complex, allowing colloidal materials to precipitate, and the increase of electrons creates an osmotic pressure that ruptures bacteria, cysts, and viruses;
  • Oxidation – Reduction reactions are forced to their natural end point within the EC chamber which speeds up the natural process of nature that occurs in wet chemistry;
  • EC induced pH swings toward alkalinity.

Electrocoagulation has reduced contaminated water volume by 98%; and lowered the treatment cost by 90% for bilge water containing heavy metals and oil emulsions; although electro coagulated water may vary because of the individual chemistry of process waters, a few examples of water treated by electrocoagulation include:

Substrate

The anode substrate is Titanium and the cathode substrates may Titanium, Hastelloy, Nickel, normal Mild steel, or Ultra-Low Carbon steel. The anodes are known as Dimensionally Stable Anodes, DSA.

Catalyst

Tiaano™’s coating systems are based on a range of nano-structured multi-layers of metal oxides, they includes Ruthenium, Iridium, Platinum, Palladium, Titanium, Tantalum; offer increased performance over conventional materials by maximising catalytic phases and surface area interactions. By adding doping agents to the catalysts, we are able to make them more selective and further improve performance.

The developed High Density coating technology allows for very thin layers to be deposited increasing cost effectiveness. The Mixed Metal Oxide Coated substrate will undergo multiple thermal treatments at elevated temperatures. This process will achieve very good bonding properties between the mixed metal oxides coating and the substrates.

Refurbishment

Refurbishment includes recoating, rebuilding the standoff and / or replacement, depending on the condition of the Anodes and Electrolyzers. Low current output, damaged standoffs, leaking seals or damaged mounting threads are the symptoms of refurbishment.

General Cell Maintenance

All cells require cleaning. This must be carried out before the calcium buildup within the cell housing becomes one big block 6-8 months gap). Left for too long it will do two things.

  • Break the cell housing.
  • Shorten the cell life.

Using a diluted solution of hydrochloric acid and water can do cleaning. The dilution of acid to water should be 1 (one) part acid and 8 (eight) parts water, mixed in a separate container, then poured into your cell cleaning container. The cell cleaning process can take between 15 minutes and a few hours, depending on how much scale is on the cell. The cell must be completely free of any scale and rinsed in clean water by Jet (high pressure). On average, the cell will need to be cleaned every four weeks.
