Product Description:
A range of antipiping compounds in powder form, used for topping ingot moulds, ladles, and foundry risers.
Function:
Generates sufficient heat while it burns by way of exothermic reaction and off-sets chilling of the molten metal under the INEXO ISOTOP Powder cover. The burnt residue provides a strong insulation which reduces heat loss caused by radiation.
Advantages:
Keeps the ‘head metal’ liquid for a longer period and hence allows better gravity feeding. Because of the above, double pouring, if and when necessary, becomes easier.
Inexo Isotop – 005
Product Description:
A highly exothermic metal producing compound for feeding grey cast iron and steel castings.
Function:
Addition to riser, produces molten iron min. 35% of its weight of a temperature of around 2000°C, thus promoting directional solidification leading to increased yield.
Advantages:
The volume of feeder head can be reduced considerably. Ready to use and requires no alteration of pattern equipment or moulding technique. The exothermic reaction superheats the riser metal. Eliminates shrinkage defects and helps achieving sound castings. With proper use, there should be no contamination or parent metal in the castings.
