Arjun Chemicals was established in 1989 as a Joint Venture with Akzo Chemie GmbH, Germany to initially manufacture Rosin based Sizing Chemicals and defoamer at Ranipet, Tamilnadu. Akzo Chemicals fusioned in 1995 with Nobel Industries of Sweden to form Akzo Nobel B.V in Amsterdam. Arjun continued its cooperation with Eka Chemicals AB, Sweden , a division of Akzo Nobel to produce Alkaline sizing chemicals, Compozil, Nano particle retention system, Catrosin size and many other chemicals until 2015 when Akzo Nobel divested its Paper Chemicals business to Kemira Oy, Finland. In the same year, Kemira signed a cooperation agreement with Arjun to continue its support of all paper chemicals for the Indian and neighbouring countries.
Arjun Chemicals has developed through its own R&D team a number of paper chemicals like Surface sizes, Dry and Wet strength Resins, G-PAM, Tissue adhesive and release chemicals, Defoamer, cleaning chemicals etc Today Arjun Chemicals with its presence all over India and in neighboring countries and with the excellent support of Kemira is in a position to supply complete TCM programmes to all pulp and paper mills.

Acid sizing (Dynasize)
Fortified rosin soap – 50% solids. It is used along with Alum or PAC in wet end to get sizing. It works in the range of 4.5 to 5.5 pH.
Neutral sizing (Composize)
Cationic rosin emulsion – 30% solids. It is used along with Alum or PAC in wet end to get sizing. It works in the range of 4.5 to 7.0 pH.
More suitable for board and Kraft based Mills.
Alkaline sizing – AKD(Keydime)
AKD emulsion – 15% solids.It is used in wet end to get sizing.It works in the range of 6.5 to 8 pH. More suitable for Writing Printing Papers.
Alkaline sizing – ASA(DynaASA)
ASA emulsion prepared at site. It is used in wet end to get sizing. It works in the range of 5.5 to 7.5 pH. More suitable for Writing Printing and Board machines.
Binary sizing (AKD / Composize)
Used in liquid packaging boards where AKD and Composize is used.
Binary sizing (AKD / ASA)
Used in some writing and printing mills where both ASA and AKD is used.
Surface sizing (Dynajet A)
Anionic Styrene based product – 30% solids. It is used in board and kraft liner machines without PAC or alum at size press.
Surface sizing (Dynajet C)
Cationic Styrene based product – 30% solids. It is used in Kraft liner machines with PAC or alum at size press.
Surface sizing (Dynajet K5)
Cationic AKD blended styrene based product – 20% solids. Used in Writing and Printing machines at size press.
