COLEUS FORSKOHLII EXTRACT GARCINIA CAMBOGIA

SUMMARY

• Plectranthusbarbatus is a tropical perennial plant related to the typical coleus species.
• Forskohlii extract is manufactured from the dried roots of plant Plactranthus Barbatus, also known as Coleus Forskohlii.
• Coleus Forskohlii plant is a tropical perennial plant of species Coleus and family laminacea.
• It is native of Southern Asia and now widely cultivated in western Tamil Nadu, India, to meet the world demand.
• Since ancient times coleus roots are used in food and folk medicine for many health benefits besides a natural remedy for fat reduction.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT

• The active ingredient in Coleus Forskohlii root is Forskolin, which is believed to be a magic ingredient in herbal Industry.

• Forskolin is a labdanediterpene.

Dry roots are used for extraction of coleus extract.
Coleus Forskohlii extract is extracted using solvents.
Coleus Forskohlii extract is standardized for the active ingredient Forskolin, by HPLC.

EXTRACT TYPES

They manufacture and supply Coleus Forskohlii extract in four different specifications

1. Coleus Forskohlii Extract -95%-97%
   White powder, soluble in alcohol and insoluble in water, with bulk density 0.5-0.9
   g/ml.
2. Coleus Forskohlii Extract-10%
   Pale brown to brown powder, partly soluble in water and alcohol, with bulk density
   0.5-0.8 g/ml.
3. Coleus Forskohlii Extract-20%
   Pale brown to brown powder, partly soluble in water and alcohol, with bulk density
   0.5-0.8g/ml.
4. Coleus Forskohlii Extract-40%
   Pale brown to brown powder, soluble in alcohol and insoluble in water, with bulk
   Density 0.5-0.8 g/ml.
   USES

Forskolin is mainly used for weight loss.

It accelerates the breakdown of existing fat storage and promoting healthy cardio
vascular function, lower elevated blood pressure.

It increases the amount of cyclic–AMP (Adenosine Mono Phosphate) in cells by
activation enzyme called adenylatecyclase.

One of the over looked benefits of Forskolin includes its stimulation of digestive
enzymes.

CURCUMA LONGA EXTRACT GARCINIA CAMBOGIA

Curcuma longa, Also known as turmeric plant. This is a perennial herb belongs to the ginger family, Zingiberaceae.

TURMERIC EXTRACT (CURCUMIN)

SUMMARY

• Turmeric Extract (Curcuminoids) is manufactured from the rhizome of Curcuma Longa also known as Turmeric.
• Curcuma Longa (Turmeric plant) is native of India, belongs to the family Zingiberaceae.
• Curcuma Longa is cultivated mostly in southern part of India.
• Curcuma Longa Rhizome is used in food and as a folk medicine since ancient times in India and most of the Asian Countries.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT

• The active ingredient in Turmeric Extract is Curcuminoids, Curcuminoids consist of curcumin as a major portion, bismethoxycurcumin and de-bismethoxycurcumin as minor portion.
• The colour of the Turmeric, yellow to orange is due to the Ingredient Curcuminoids.
• Structure of Curcuminoids is shown in figure–I
• Curcuminoids is linear diarylheptanoid.

EXTRACT DETAILS

• Turmeric extract (Curcuminoids) is extracted from the dry Rhizome of Curcuma Longa.
• Turmeric extract is extracted by using solvents.
• Turmeric extract is standardized for the active ingredient Curcuminoids, by HPLC.

EXTRACT TYPE

They manufacture and supply three grades of Turmeric Extract

1. Turmeric Extract-95% (Curcuminoids-95%)
   Yellow to orange powder with bulk density 0.4–0.8g/ml., insoluble in water and partly soluble inalcohol (Turmeric extract consist of minimum Curcumin- 75%, bismethoxycurcumin -15%, and de-bismethoxy curcumin-2%).

2. Turmeric Extract-65% (Curcuminoids-65%)
Orange to orangish brown powder with bulk density 0.4-0.8 g/ml., slightly soluble in water and in alcohol.

3. Turmeric Extract (water soluble)
Orangish brown to reddish brown powder with bulk density 0.5-0.8 g/ml., soluble in water, Curcuminoids content -10-20%.

Garcinia Cambogia is a plant also known as Garciniagummi-gutta. It belongs to family of Clusiaceae.

• Garcinia Cambogia Extract is manufactured from the dried fruit rind of Garcinia Cambogia Tree.
• Garcinia Cambogia Tree is found in evergreen shola forests of the Western Ghats in India. It belongs to the family clusiaccae. The fruit of the tree looks like small green & yellow pumpkin (when ripen).
• It is native to the Asia and seen in most of the evergreen forests.
• Since ancient times Garcinia Cambogia is used in Indian folk medicine and in food for its health benefits.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT

The active ingredient in GarciniaCambogia extract is (-) Hydroxycitric Acid.

The structure of (-) Hydroxycitric Acid is shown in the figure-I.

(-) Hydroxycitric Acid is a derivative of citric acid which is natural preservative in the fruit.

They manufacture and supply Garcinia Cambogia Extract in three different specifications

1. GarciniaCambogia Extract 60% Calcium salt (water insoluble)
   Off white colour powder with bulk density 0.4-0.7g/ml, insoluble in water and Alcohol.
   (-) HCA content not less than 60% and calcium content between 17-21%.

2. GarciniaCambogia Extract 50% Calcium salt (water insoluble)
Off white colour powder with Bulk density 0.4-0.7g/ml, Insoluble in water and Alcohol.
(-) HCA content not less than 50% and calcium content between 17-21%.

3. GarciniaCambogia Extract 60% Calcium Potassium salt (water soluble)
Ivory white to milk white colour powder, Soluble in water and insoluble In Alcohol. With Bulk density 0.4-07 g/ml.
(-) HCA content not less than 60%, potassium not less than 14% and calcium not less than 9%.

Pioneer Extracts Pvt. Ltd., has established its GMP standard manufacturing facility in the year 2001 located in the main area of Coleus- Coleus Forskohlii cultivation in India and also the area which produces one of the best variety of Turmeric-Curcuma longa in India.

Pioneer extracts Pvt. Ltd., has locational advantage for sourcing quality Herbal raw material and contract cultivation of required Herbal raw materials.

Pioneer Extracts Pvt. Ltd., has production facilities over a build area of 44,000 square feet in 11.0 acres of land with four production line dedicated to individual products to ensure high quality standard. Each facility can handle 3500 kg of dry raw material per day supported by dedicated GMP compliant clean room for each product, comprising of separate wet area and dry area to achieve high quality standard. With this facility Pioneer Extracts Pvt. Ltd., can produce up to 125000 kg of finished Extracts per annum.

They have post-harvest raw material processing facility from fresh tubers to dry roots for their in-house requirements which can process up to 80,000 kg of fresh tubers every day. Warehouse facility for raw material to store up to 1,700 M.T.

They have 4000 square feet of finished goods warehouse facility on GMP standard to stock and dispatch the finished products.
