Formulated Polymers

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers

Formulated Polymers Limited (FPL) since its inception, has formulated over 400+ grades in 10 engineering polymers, with a primary focus on complex and niche compounds including glass fiber reinforced Polymers. FPL has several partnerships with major OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) serving large sectors of industries with a global product reach. They have expertise in Automotive, Electrical & Electronics, Heavy Equipment Industries, Pumps, Infrastructure, Home Appliances, Textiles, and Other Major industries.

FPL has also collaborated with Eurostar Engineering Plastics (EEP), France to offer a comprehensive range of over 120 Grades of Flame Retardant Compounds with UL Certification, increasing the product range to a much broader level to ensure maximum availability of products.

With approvals from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) including Hyundai, Bajaj, Siemens, LG, and L&T, FPL has a global product reach. FPL is known for its timely delivery of products and uncompromising quality.

Partner for Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers

Eurostar Engineering Plastics (EEP), France has collaborated with Formulated Polymers, India (FPL) to design and manufacture Flame-Retardant Polyamide Compounds under the brand name STARFLAM for Electrical and Electronic Industries. The whole product range is manufactured and distributed by FPL. Eurostar Engineering Plastics (EEP) was instituted back in 1972, in Fosses, France. It has a four-decade history of innovation in the field of engineering plastics compounds. EEP manufactures Plastic Compounds based on Thermoplastic Resins available in the market. The company is best known for its unique know-how in the development and commercialization of halogen-free flame retardant compounds, predominantly used in electrical circuit protection devices.

EEP Compounds also provide vital solutions in E & E, Transportation, Photovoltaic, and Appliance Market Segments. OEMs involved are mainly global players, who insist on compliance with international standards. Other than conforming to EU RoHS, directive technical standards that might apply are IEC 60695, UL 94, UL 508, NF16-101, and 16-102 for instance.

The highlight of STARFLAM Flame-retardant Polyamides (Nylon-6, Nylon-6,6, PPA, etc.) is that they come in a wide variety, from unfilled to mineral reinforced and glass fiber reinforced with a sub-selection for UL 94 VO, V1, V2, 5V. The thickness of the polyamides starts from 0.4 mm. The products may be Halogen based, Phosphorus based, Non-Halogen, or Non-Phosphorus based, including next-generation products too. STARFLAM compounds use glass fibers, minerals, and glass beads as major reinforcements and are prepared to deliver world-class flame, electrical and mechanical performances in the most stringent conditions.

All products are in pellet form and packed in standard 25 kg moisture-proof bags. 500 kgs of jumbo bags are also available for higher demand. To achieve smooth flow, permit thin section molding, fast solidification, and best release property in case of injection molding and uniform flow with excellent dimensional stability for extrusion, the grades are contrived and manufactured carefully. As far as processing is concerned, they are process stabilized under an extensive temperature range to simplify the procedure.
