Manufacturing tolerances for INSAPLEX products are as follows: Up to DN 40 has an ID (Inner Diameter) and OD (Outer Diameter) tolerance of ±1min, DN 100 has a tolerance of ±1.5mm, and DN 125 to DN 300 has a tolerance of ±2mm. The test pressure is calculated as 1.5 times the maximum operating pressure under normal conditions, while the burst pressure is determined as 4 times the maximum operating pressure under normal conditions. The elongation at the test pressure must be less than 3% of the initial length, and after pressure release, the elongation should be less than 1% of the initial length. For temperature coefficients, reference is made to the chart specified in BS 6501 PART 1:1991.

INSAPLEX’s products find applications in various industries such as Fertilizer, Refineries, Petrochemicals, and Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.

Fabric Expansion Joints

Their experienced personnel in manufacturing and testing guarantee the production of reliable and high-performance gaskets.

Interlocked Hoses Fabric Expansion Joints

Interlocked metal hose, also known as strip wound hose, is a type of hose consisting of profiled strips that are interlocked at their edges.

These hoses are often referred to as strip wound hoses due to their construction, which involves successive forms of profiled strips with interlocking edges.

To ensure pressure tightness, interlock hoses are made with a packing material. This packing can be made of various materials such as cotton, asbestos, rubber, or metals like copper. The packing is inserted into the interlock structure, enhancing the hose’s ability to withstand pressure.

Interlocked metal hoses serve multiple purposes, primarily as protective conduit casings. They can also be used as liners inside hoses, depending on the specific profile formation.

There are different locking methods employed in interlocked metal hoses, including square lock, square lock with packing, double lock, and double lock with packing.

These hoses find application in various industries, such as:

  1. Telephone and Electrical cables
  2. Control instruments and Thermocouples
  3. Conveying non-penetrating fluids like naphtha and furnace oil.
