It is a Family-owned business that has grown from being just an upper making unit that produced 500 pairs a day to an organization that has capacity to make 2 million pair of leather shoes and uppers a year.
Their core competency is making stitch down shoes; which gives an exclusive entrée into a real niche product range within both men’s and kid’s footwear.
Since the first factory in 1987, they now have expanded their manufacturing operations to two tanning units in Ranipet; three upper making facilities and a lasting unit near Chennai. They are supported by a highly skilled and competent workforce of a little more than 2200 staff and workers across all 6 plants.
SHOE UPPER DIVISION
They have three Upper Making Units near Chennai, catering to their demands for upper exports and their lasting division. They strongly believe that constant improvement in production methods and quality is the only way to maintain a competitive edge.
They make theme of proven scientific tools like SATRA SUMM for their leather cutting floor and SATRA Timeline for their closing lines.
They do import knowledge in the form of European shoe making consultants, whose technical knowhow and vast knowledge in controlling shoe making process has helped set up their facilities to make quality leather shoes. Their top management believes in advancing and upgrading their machinery thus equipping all their units with modernized machines. They even have their own automatic sewing machine division and pallet making facility in their arsenal. Their upper making units are capable of making between 5500 and 6500 pairs of uppers per day.
FULL SHOE DIVISION
Their Lasting Unit, situated a little over 15 kilometres north of the city of Chennai, has 10 tracks capable of making around 2 million pairs of shoes per annum. They have made themselves adept in making stitch down shoes that gives them a very keen edge to service their customer’s specific needs.
As in the case of their Upper making units; here too they have invested extensively in knowledge import via experienced European shoe makers. Once again, their belief in technology has left them with a highly modernized and up to date equipment to make quality shoes. They have their own testing facility to ensure key parameters like sole bonding, are as per requirement in everyday production.
They have their very own product development and engineering team quartered at their finishing unit. They have highly qualified and experienced teams to look after the development and commercialization of each customer working with them.
