RAPITEST MALARIA PF/PAN(AG):
Malaria mainly spreads by the bite of Anopheles mosquitoes carrying the parasite called Plasmodium. The parasite mainly infects and completes its life cycle within red blood cells. The main symptoms include fever, head ache and in severe case it may result in death of the patient. There are 4 main species of plasmodium which infects the Anopheles mosquitoes. P.falciparum causes severe form of malaria, while P.vivax, P.ovale and P.malariae causes less milder disease. These three combined species together are named as pan species.

RAPITEST DENGUE NS1

Dengue is spread by several species of mosquito of the Aedes type, principally A.aegypti. The virus has five different types; infection with one type usually gives lifelong immunity to that type, but only short-term immunity to the others. Subsequent infection with a different type increases the risk of severe complications.

Dengue NS1&IgG/IgM is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms typically begin three to fourteen days after infection. This may include a high fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains, and a characteristic skin rash. Recovery generally takes less than two to seven days. In a small proportion of cases, the disease develops into the life-threatening dengue hemorrhagic fever, resulting in bleeding, low levels of blood platelets and blood plasma leakage, or into dengue shock syndrome, where dangerously low blood pressure occurs.

  • High Sensitivity : 98.24%
  • High Specificity : 97.08%
  • Robust and highly Stable
  • Quick and Qualitative results within 5 – 20 minutes
  • Store at 2ᵒ C – 30ᵒ C

RAPITEST HCG
hCG is a qualitative; two site sandwich immunoassay for the detection of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) hormone, which is a marker for pregnancy, in human urine samples. hCG is a glycoprotein hormone which is secreted by viable placental tissue during pregnancy.

The appearance of hCG in urine soon after conception and its rapid rise in concentration makes it an ideal marker for early detection and confirmation of pregnancy. The concentration of hCG continues to rise rapidly, peaking in the 30,000 ~ 100,000 mIU/ml range by 10 to 12 weeks into pregnancy.

CARDIAC TROPONIN I
Cardiac troponin I and troponin T are effective in identifying myocardial damage, but in addition to being useful for diagnosis, they also permit the estimation of prognosis and risk stratification of patients with acute myocardial infarction. Cardiac troponin T and troponin I (especially troponin I) have been accepted as the “gold standard” in the evaluation of patients with acute myocardial infarction.

High Sensitivity : 99.4%
High Specificity : 99%

RAPITEST SALMONELLA TYPHI AND PARATYPHI – ANTIGEN:

Typhoid fever is a systemic infection caused by Salmonella Typhi, usually through ingestion of contaminated food or water. The acute illness is characterized by prolonged fever, headache, nausea, loss of appetite, and constipation or sometimes diarrhoea. Symptoms are often non-specific and clinically non-distinguishable from other febrile illnesses. However, clinical severity varies and severe cases may lead to serious complications or even death. It occurs predominantly in association with poor sanitation and lack of clean drinking water.
